*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 765438 ***

I typed it in the terminal and here is the result:

Searching for GRUB installation directory ... found: /boot/grub
Searching for default file ... found: /boot/grub/default
Testing for an existing GRUB menu.lst file ... found: /boot/grub/menu.lst
Searching for splash image ... none found, skipping ...
Found kernel: /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.38-9-generic
Found kernel: /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.38-8-generic
Found GRUB 2: /boot/grub/core.img
Found kernel: /boot/memtest86+.bin
Updating /boot/grub/menu.lst ... done

I did the reboot, nothing happened once again.
But, I did notice something in synaptic that in my opinion doesn't fit.
I would like you to tell me what do you think.
In Synaptic, there is the"linux-image-generic 2.6.38.9.23"
and the "linux-image-2.6.38-9-generic 2.6.38-9.43+kamal~mjgbacklight4"

See for youself on the screenshots below.
Isn't that odd??
