Public bug reported: Binary package hint: locales
Since 1.1.2009 Slovak republic uses euro as official financial currency instead of old Sk currency. Using Ubuntu 10.04 and sk_SK.UTF-8 locale it shows only old currency: Sk. I tried to generate sk_SK.UTF-8@euro but got an error: sk_SK.UTF-8@euro... cannot open locale definition file `sk_SK@euro': No such file or directory After looking in /usr/share/i18n/locales it turns out that sk locales does not have support for euro (I checked also version from Natty). With de_DE@euro I can see the euro sign so I tried to combine them together: LANG="sk_SK.UTF-8" LC_MONETARY="de_DE@euro" export LANG LC_MONETARY ...but I found out that it works only within LC_MESSAGES so the language changes to German which is not what I'm looking for. Please, could you change currency from Sk to Euro in sk locales? Thanks and regards. ** Affects: langpack-locales (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/780586 Title: Add euro support to slovakian locales -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
