This crash problem where the screen completely freezes happens occasionally with other applications but is most prevalent when viewing multi-page pdf files. Particularly when scrolling quickly with either with middle mouse button or even when grabbing the scroll bar using the mouse.
To try to overcome the problem I have upgraded to Ubuntu 11.04 but I am still getting the same problem. Can anyone help. What log files should I look at (it did crash once when I used the log file viewer) or will I need to do a complete reinstall?
