Public bug reported: Binary package hint: bluedevil
bluetooth was working well on kde 4.6.2 (ppa) with maverick since the upgrade to natty, the bluetooth icon does not appear on kde systray when i switch it on. Also when going on kde configuration panel for bluetooth, it claims that the device is not found. This seems linked to the kernel. Beacause with kernel 2.6.35-28-generic bluetooth is working well on KDE, but with kernel 2.6.38-8-generic, the problem appears. in either case, bluetooth device is detected by the kernel. I join dmesg for the 2 cases. Something strange happened, during my tests, I did the following : - boot 2.6.35 kernel - log in kde - switch on bleutooth - kde bluetooth icon appeared - reboot computer on kernel 2.6.38 - bluetooth was still on - log in kde - bluetooth icon is there ! - switch bluetooth off - bluetooth icon diseappers - switch bluetooth on again - bluetooth icon does not appear ! computer is a thinkpad X40 ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.04 Package: bluedevil 1.1-0ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.38-8.42-generic 2.6.38.2 Uname: Linux 2.6.38-8-generic i686 Architecture: i386 Date: Fri May 13 14:07:52 2011 ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, user) LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: bluedevil UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to natty on 2011-04-29 (14 days ago) ** Affects: bluedevil (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 natty -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to bluedevil in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/782172 Title: bluetooth device not appearing anymore on kde systray since natty upgrade -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
