I think there is a conflict between: /lib/modules/2.6.38-8-generic/kernel/drivers/net/wireless/rt2x00
and /lib/modules/2.6.38-8-generic/kernel/drivers/staging/rt2870 My usb wlan stick works, when removing staging/rt2870 and then reboot.
