I had the same problem..after formatting my external drive, it gave me an error that I don't remember and after that I can't find it anymore..if I use mountmanager, I find it as sdb1, but I can't see it in Unity snd use it..even with Virtualbox I find it in the usb drives but it doesn't work even there..please fix it..
