Just a comment about the "regression-release" tag... This bug seems to
affect Compiz users for years, I don't think it is a regression in any
recent release. I have the problem since I'm using compiz (with
OpenOffice.org and now with LibreOffice).

I'm not heavily involved in this stuff, so I may be wrong, but it seems
to me that it's because of the way compiz deals with windows and
displaying them.

Correct me if I'm wrong, compiz draws each window in a different "space"
and then puts all these "display spaces" together on the screen ; this
permits effects like wobbling windows easily. In that case, windows
can't know their relative position to other windows. Without Compiz, X
draws all windows in the same "space", which is directly displayed on
the screen. Windows share the same "display space" and can know their
relative positions.

That's why I didn't report this bug at first : it seemed to me that it is
because of the way Compiz works. And maybe because I'm lazy too :-) Now that
Nobuto reported it, I thought these precisions could be useful.
