My problem with Toshiba 80 GB detachable HD is solved. It was coming
from something else. I took my HD to a MSW-XP box, and attached it, and
saw that some 'Password Protection' was enabled. I made it off there.
Just this solved the whole problem there. My uneducated guess is that
some DRM thing is the issue here. When I attached it again to the Ubuntu
7.04 box, it just seamlessly automounted it to a 'SECURE DISK' folder in
/media. Everything was working fine.
