it seems that su-to-root isn't installed by default in the desktop version of 
ubuntu (well in fiesty fox anyway).
easy fix though:
    sudo apt-get install menu
then gsambad will work.

i'm pretty new to ubuntu so please disregard the next bit if it doesnt make 
sense...
"add/remove programs" is capable of handling dependencies by the looks of it, 
so couldnt "menu" be listed as a depend for gsambad and then this wouldnt crop 
up again?
