Public bug reported:

Regression:

Synaptics cpad doesn't work anymore on kernel 2.6.20-xx and the cpad kernel
source gives compilation errors (implicit declaration of functions ) if
compiled,
the reproducibility is ALWAYS on this kernel version and I think it should be
fixed soon since it makes Toshiba Laptops equipped with cpad unusable with
Feisty or Gutsy.

In the xorg.log simply a not found error is raised for the synaptics
driver, and the touchpad is unusable.

I also tried to compile and load the synaptics-usb kernel module but it
doesn't seem to do anything

** Affects: cpad-kernel (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
