Hi everyone, As suggested i checked https://bugs.kde.org for similar bugs and here is what i found:
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=270618 According to this report the problem is in the phonon backend (gsteamer). Following the instructions i installed phonon vlc backend and this seems to have solved the problem.
