Because acpi-support is a deprecated package which is being phased out -
new features should not be added there.

I think this should probably be implemented in the kernel itself (as
suggested by the already-open 'linux' task); we don't want that handling
to be dependent on a desktop component (like gnome-settings-daemon), and
as acpi-support should go away, that leaves the kernel as the preferred
place to implement this.  (And that would definitely be consistent with
other LED handling.)
