I found a strange issue in dash search. Since I cannot use Chinese to search for applications in dash, I tried to type just "synaptic", but it does NOT find synaptic package manager, I may need to search for the application name in Chinese, which is not doable due to this bug.
However, I found that some other applications DOES work when searching for their executable name, for example I can search for gnome-activity-journal directly in dash, although its display name is in Chinese. I am aware that I can use alt-f2 to do a fine name search, but isn't it better to unify all kind of searches into one place?
