Hi! No need to excuse, I've used Linux for 11 years, and know how busy developers are :)
I will attach three files, trial.txt with results from the "trial morituri". Lots of fun there, I guess... Then there is rip.log which is with RIP_DEBUG=5 and rip2.log.gz which is GST_DEBUG=*:4 RIP_DEBUG=5. BUT, I did uninstall gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad, and now it works :D I don't seem to be needing the plugins from bad, so for me it is kind of solved. I'm not sure how it got installed, since it's priority: optional.
