Hi, I got the same problem, same messages in syslog. Immediatly after unplugging my QuickCam E 3500 out of my USB hub and connecting it to a free USB port, clementine (audio player) startet it's playback and "cannot set freq 16000 to ep 0x86" messages ended. Must be related to the webcam and maybe to the USB hub.
