Clean install x 5 of Feisty : same problem (system locks on user logout). Using ati driver. Ctrl+Alt+Backspace doesn't kill X. Must use the "elephant sequence" to reboot safely. Adding "acpi=force" to kernel line in grub makes no difference. THIS IS A SHOWSTOPPER.
