after not seeing any development in this bug, I searched the Internet for more information and found, that this package nvidia-current- modaliases had been removed from the ubuntu-dist. My question is now: why? Please give some information on this.
This should not have been done, because the package nvidia-current (proprietary nvidia-driver) depends on this package!! Please put it back into the dist. I think, this will fix up many other issues I found here with nvidia-packages.
