$cat /proc/version_signature
Ubuntu 2.6.38-8.42-generic 2.6.38.2

$ lsb_release -rd
Description:    Ubuntu 11.04
Release:        11.04

System has no xorg.conf file. Boots fine without one. The mouse
pointer freezes for about 2 seconds after being moved. This is sporadic
and annoying.

Any help would be appreciated.
