Correction: the Mouse Settings does in fact now allow the sensitivity
and speed to be changed.

So scrolling and speed/sensitivity problems have now been fixed - but
the device is still recognised by Ubuntu as a PS/2 mouse which means
that there is still no access to certain touchpad-specific settings.

At least the device is usable now!
