Yeah, I've been trying to fix this one. Could you follow the instructions in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Apport#How to enable apport and https://wiki.kubuntu.org/DebuggingProgramCrash and then let me know if when the next time the decorations disappear you get a unity_window_decorator_xxxx.crash file in /var/crash? If so, we can retrace it and I can try and figure out what's going on
