Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kde-systemsettings
This is an upstream bug that has apparently been fixed, but the fix has not trickled down to natty updates yet. It is a very severe crash that locks everything up, so it would be nice to see the fix in updates. I will connect this bug to the upstream bug. The description of the problem is as follows: I setup a VPN, either PPTP or OpenVPN using Kubuntu's KDE system settings (or through Network Manager, the outcome is the same). After connecting to the VPN, when I try to disconnect, plasma locks up, and I have to reboot. I am using Kubuntu 11.04 and KDE 4.6.3; the version of systemsettings is 4:4.6.3-0ubuntu1~ppa3 ** Affects: kdeadmin Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Affects: ntrack Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: kde-systemsettings (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Bug watch added: KDE Bug Tracking System #270156 http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=270156 ** Also affects: kdeadmin via http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=270156 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Also affects: ntrack Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Bug watch added: KDE Bug Tracking System #268038 http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=268038 ** Bug watch added: KDE Bug Tracking System #270152 http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=270152 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/790840 Title: Plasma freeze after closing a VPN connection -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
