Yup, the patch is not suitable for SRU (also, I didn't include it in natty because of that, too big and too late). It's fine for a backport though, feel free to request it.
Indeed, xfce4-places-plugin was dropped from the default install because it wasn't ported and still using exo-mount at that time.
