Public bug reported: remote VNC server: Ubuntu 11.04 64-bit desktop using Unity local VNC client: Ubuntu 10.04.2 64-bit desktop
Server is running a remote desktop using tightvncserver. Client is viewing the desktop using vinagre. Whenever the client presses the 'd' key all remote desktop display windows minimize. This makes remote admin impossible because the sudo command can never be used. Work-around: on the server, disable the default Keyboard Shortcut that sets 'D' for minimizing/maximizing all windows. I gather that when using remote desktop the server should not interpret all 'd' key presses as shortcuts. I have also reproduced this on Natty in VirtualBox, using its own vinagre to view its own localhost:1 tightvncserver. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/791181 Title: Remote desktop problem with Natty Narwhal -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
