No need to do that, what is meant to happen is that the start page should redirect to Google if you select a search engine that doesn't have a corresponding start page. The fact that it doesn't is a bug in the start-page, and that is already reported somewhere (you will find it if you look through the bugs for the ubuntu-start-page project)
