I have just noticed something interesting. I unplugged the laptop  and
used its battery to power it on and I got an "Ubuntu" starting/welcoming
screen with no backlight but all of a sudden that screen lit up just
before it disappeared in order to display the desktop screen which was
also lit up. I used the backlight hotkeys and I saw that the brightness
bar was halfway full. So, the conclusion of this is that the power
source interacts somehow with our problem. Do you think you could guess
the reason of this interaction?
