I should mention that I have not tested beyond adding some music from Banshee (FLAC, Ogg/Vorbis, and MP3). I don't use any functionality beyond that, so I presume it works.
One caveat: the directory layout on the device almost matches what is listed in the .mpi file, but not quite. The directory for podcasts on the device is "PODCASTS", while the .mpi file lists "PODCAST".
