Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-panel
If you UNselect the the EXPAND option in "Panel Properties" in STATUS bar panel and after restarting Ubuntu, the panel appeared in the middle. Selecting "LEFT" and "Bottom" positon option DID NOT work. However, when I selected the "EXPAND" option and UNselected the "EXPAND" option again, the "Workspace" panel seemed to be in normal working condition, so far.
