My apologies to any programmers who were working on this issue for me. I couldn't take using my Dad's computer any longer, so I looked up how to repair the MBR so I could boot Windows and formatted my Linux partitions. I'll probably try a different distribution of Linux in the future, but in the meantime, it's time for me to get reacquainted with Bill Gates. :-P
