Same bug found on my desktop system with a Pentium 4 3 GHz processor on
an Intel 915GAV motherboard with latest upgraded packages as of
2011-Jun-09.

Googling, I found
http://kubuntuforums.net/forums/index.php?topic=3116630.0 but the
workaround it suggests is to add i915.modeset=0 to the kernel options.
However, my monitor is an LG 17 inch monitor with resolution 1360x768,
and using the above kernel option only gives me 1024x768 as my
resolution which is horrible to look at. I can't login to Natty on my
desktop till this bug is fixed.

This bug does not exist on my laptop, a Compaq Presario C770TU, which is
why I say "on my desktop".

Please can it be fixed soon? Thanks.
