I have a similar problem on my new Dell Latitude 5420 with freshly
installed Natty: When pressing the 'disable touchpad'-key (Fn + F5 in my
case), a notification pops up displaying graphic of a crossed-out
touchpad. Pressing again shows the same, without the cross, as expected.
The touch-pad keeps always working, however, as does the 'track-stick'.
Problem is the same with/without plugging in an external USB mouse.
