I see that this is a major discussion since there is no easy resolution
of the problem in terms of global compatibility. However, I would kindly
request the Mozilla Developers to implement an easy solution for people
like me: In all my years of internet consume I have never ever used a
single keyboard shortcut provided by a plugin. Now maybe I am an extreme
exception since I never play flash games, rarely watch youtube and co,
always open my PDFs externally because I dont like them to be stuck in
the browser and so on. But still on a large amount of pages I cannot use
any of my favourite shortcuts (with Flashblock providing only a minor
relief). Thus a simple config option allowing me to disable all plugin-
provided keyboard-hits would be a great relief for me and maybe for
others, too. I know this is by far not a sophisticated solution as
proposed above, but as radical as it may seem, it would make my internet
experience much more comfortable.
