Well, I'm certainly scratching my head on this one. The log shows a completely normal startup. The greeter correctly forks, but when it comes to fork the session it fails. I'll ask you to see if it reproduces on 0.4.0, but I can't see any reason why it should behave differently.
Taking the error code from fork() literally. Is there any chance this device has run out of memory? I was looking in the log in case LightDM leaked memory massively before the fork call, but I can't see any evidence of that. If someone else is getting the same problem, please post here your setup to shed some light on this. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/794938 Title: lightdm dies with "Failed to fork: Cannot allocate memory" on login To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/lightdm/+bug/794938/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
