First of all, this is the typical behavior if a PostScript driver is
used on a PCL-only printer. So at first I want to know whether in your
old environment (10.10 or earlier) you were actually using a PostScript
driver or whether the system chose a PCL driver automatically.

It seems that something got messed up with automatic driver selection
and some printers where PostScript is only available as add-on are
considered PostScript printers.

** Changed in: system-config-printer (Ubuntu)
