You should remove the logging. It's enough you found the files and made an easy script by collecting the backup and copying commands into one script. In install script there are some tabs/spaces i noticed. For example ... /usr /`uname -r` /kernel/etc etc etc I did not run the script as was, i deleted them first. In host.h you added some things and deleted others (probably obsolete).
