1st I checked that '/usr/sbin/grub-probe --device /dev/md1
--target=drive' doesn't rise an error message.

I have installed manually the following packages:

dpkg -i grub-common_1.99~rc1-13ubuntu3_amd64.deb
grub-gfxpayload-lists_0.2_amd64.deb grub-pc_1.99~rc1-13ubuntu3_amd64.deb

The problem doesn't appears any more.

So please update also in lucid
grub2  1.98 -->  1.99~20101126-1ubuntu1 (or newer)

** Changed in: grub2 (Ubuntu)
       Status: New => Confirmed
