Same here. I have GeForce GT 220. My whole desktop freezes every other day. It locks the whole X - keyboard, mouse, the image freezes and stays on the screen. It is impossible to do anything from the local console. The best thing I can do is to SSH from my laptop and do "service gdm restart".
