I have a workaround. Make sure that beryl-manager starts before SuperKaramba.
In /usr/share/apps/autostart, open beryl-manager.desktop (sudo pico beryl-manager.desktop) Put the following line in beryl-manager.desktop: X-KDE-autostart-phase=0 Then, open Kdesktop.desktop, and add the following line: X-KDE-autostart-after=beryl-manager This ensures that beryl-manager starts before the desktop. This should also take care of the erratic startup of adept-notifier too, since the startup order will now be: beryl-manager Kdesktop panel panel widgets including adept-notifier Now, if SuperKaramba is started either because it's in /$HOME/.kde/Autostart or because it's restarted by the session manager, it should start up well after beryl is up and running, and display as expected. -- starting beryl makes karamba themes dissapear from the desktop https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/104439 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
