Public bug reported: On being shown the "Preparing to install Ubuntu" page in the installer, I realised that I wasn't connected to the internet (red circle), so I chose a network and authenticated. When network manager showed me I was connected, the red circle didn't change to green and therefore "Download updates while installing" remained insensitive even though I had internet access now.
Pressing "Back" and then "Install Ubuntu" still didn't change the red circle to green. Selecting "Quit" hung the installer and only doing `killall ubiquity` in VT1 caused a restart of the session, this time with the circle green :) ** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/800632 Title: "Connected to internet" doesn't become green when I connect to a network To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/800632/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
