Ok, that (Option "UseDisplayDevice" "DSP") fixed it right away, thanks a
lot!

I seem to have mistyped the driver version in my last post, I never tried the 
new (9755) driver because it is not compatible with my hardware as you also 
noticed. I meant the legacy driver (7184) where i typed 9755. I guess the 7 
confused me :) 
About the module loading, just to inform you as i guess it has noting to do 
with this 'bug', it didn't work either when I rebooted, when x started it gave 
me a driver mismatch error. (Kernel: 7184, xorg module: 9631). After manually 
reloading the nvidia modules it worked.
