I see. You are right, "Ctrl+T" do save the current settings (except for the window size though).
I think this is not intuitive at all. Am I the only one to think so? I'm wondering if the behaviour should not be the opposite: dont show the panel by default. Or automatically display it only for documents with more than N pages (and possibly a configuration setting for N). Another question is, is PDF viewing an activity mostly done with different files (in which case the settings should be global), or are the files opened almost always the same (and then the current default is probably right). ** Changed in: evince (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Opinion -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/801542 Title: Left panel status should be saved between sessions To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evince/+bug/801542/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
