Confirming this on Audacious 2.4.4, Gnome 2.32.1, freshly installed Ubuntu 11.04, 2.6.38-8-generic #42-Ubuntu SMP Mon Apr 11 03:31:24 UTC 2011 x86_64. I am still using the default theme where window close buttons are on the left side.
I can elaborate the description by stating that the playlist window doesn't have to be docked against the main window, it can be anywhere. None of the playlist window sides are resizeable/draggable except at the bottom right corner where there the gray border is black and the mouse cursor becomes a "down & right" resize icon. However, when I left click with this cursor and drag in any direction, the playlist window jumps so that its top left corner (!) is where the mouse cursor is.
