Public bug reported:

When moving files (i.e. Cut + Copy) to removable media using Dolphin
sometimes all the moved data is lost. It seems that it don't flush
buffers before unmounting the media. It's so dangerous bug as it's
unclear how to avoid it and there's risk to lose important data.

To reproduce:
1. Find a folder with thousands of small files. Please make a back up copy of
it as it may be lost.
2. Insert a removable media, e.g. flash key.
3. Cut the folder from source, go to flash to mount it and paste the folder
somewhere on flash drive. Notice that the operation took only fractions of
second.
4. Unmount the flash right after the moving is over.
5. Unplug the flash drive and plug it again. Go to it to mount it.
6. Notice that there's no moved folder anymore, all the data is lost. You also
can't revert the operation as Dolphin thinks that the data is on flash and
can't find it.
