With the feisty release kernel (2.6.20-15) The problem is still there. As well as an additional problem: I can hibernate the machine just once. After returning from hibernate, the system is in a 'screen locked' state, which wakes up with a stroke on the touchpad, and I can unlock the screen and continue working. However, If I attempt to hibernate the machine again, it goes dark, into a screenlock state, but never powers down.
