Shewdiz: The "composite disables GLX" problem is Bug #91064 (and doesn't really have anything to do with making things faster but that's a different story).
To avoid complicating this bug can folks avoid posting to this particular bug if their problem isn't that of a seeing a low resolution after enabling the nvidida drivers.
