Thanks for the response . The alsa-info dump (alsa-info.txt.npy1VJi0HV) did still exhibit the loud white noise when booting to Ubuntu 10.04 from a powered off state.
I booted windows, made sure the sound was working ok in windows 7. Did a warm boot to Ubuntu 10.04 and the sound worked great. I did not make any changes to any sound settings. They are still the same as the first alsa-info dump. Attached is the alsa-info dump after a warm boot to Ubuntu from windows 7. ** Attachment added: "alsa-info.txt.t14pVbLn1N" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/804051/+attachment/2187091/+files/alsa-info.txt.t14pVbLn1N -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/804051 Title: White Noise from SB CA0106 on Ubuntu 10.04 unless warm-booted into Windows prior To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/804051/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
