Pavol, I don't understand what you mean by "and I cannot get point.". I guess that you would prefer that the Launcher count is the number of new messages instead of the number of unread messages.
I believe that it is more important to know the number of unread messages than the number of unread messages since the last feed update. At least, that's my very personal need. Anyway, if evolution and empathy display the *new* messages count, it is probably a good argument to be coherent for liferea too. I am only the person who did this unity patch, not a liferea author or Ubuntu developer. I could easily change the behaviour, it only requires to change feedlist_get_unread_item_count by feedlist_get_new_item_count in src/ui_unity.c (it can also be an option) but I think that we should wait a Ubuntu (Ayatana?) agrees or a large number of people votes for this change.
