Hi,
Can you try to run 'unity --reset' in a terminal and see if that helps?
This sort of problem should be something that only happens occasionally
so if you are never able to open the launcher (either by pressing the
Super key or by clicking the Ubuntu logo) then we need to investigate
the problem further.
