When I was looking at fixing this (before I found this thread) I changed my hosts file from: 127.0.0.1 localhost 127.0.1.1 <my machine name> to: 127.0.0.1 localhost <my machine name> 127.0.1.1 <my machine name> Would that possibly create the timeout error? Otherwise I'm pretty standard Feisty over a wireless network to a router. I've changed DNS to openddns.com and no differences noted. Any help troubleshooting this isseu woudl be appreciated - should I strace a wget or something? Thanks Stuart
