This only occurs when you start gvim from a terminal. If you start gvim from the Unity interface, or from Nautilus, the menu appears correctly.
As stated elsewhere, if you start gvim in the foreground, this doesn't happen either. Presume that what is happening is that the unity menu is attempting to bind to the initially started process, but instead should be binding to the process that gvim forks when you run it from the terminal. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/781180 Title: gvim loses menu with Unity interface To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/vim/+bug/781180/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
