Public bug reported: I have a custom build usb audio device from hotaudio.com, it works nicely when freshly booted, but when left silent (no playback), it stops working after some time. It does not matter if the sound was used or not. This is resolved by reboot. Unplugging and plugging the device back in does not help the issue. In sound settings, I can see the device, but in the output tab, there is only dummy output. Pressing the "test speakers" button closes the sound properties with no action (and no test sound).
